Carlos Garde-Martin is an illustrator and educator. He has been a tutor for the MA Illustration (online) course at Falmouth since it began in 2018. He currently teaches on various modules and is a supervisor for Final Major Project students. In 2019 he obtained a PGCHE teaching qualification and is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Brighton.
Since 2009 he has been an illustrator working for clients such as Citroën, Network Rail, and the Brighton Fringe, and has exhibited in various exhibitions and art fairs such as the London Illustration Fair, Pick Me Up, and Brighton Illustration Fair. In 2018 he graduated (with Distinction) from the MA Sequential Design/Illustration course at the University of Brighton. His research interests include sequential narratives, creative writing, and ideas generation. He is currently working on several personal projects alongside his teaching practice.
