2021 SHOWCASE

‘I’m so grateful for Falmouth tutors for giving me the space and encouragement to constantly investigate and explore my creativity and what it can offer the world!’

Hermione Ross, BA(Hons) Illustration Student

BA(Hons) Illustration
The BA(Hons) Illustration Course at Falmouth University equips students with the necessary visual problem solving and theoretical skills appropriate to the evolving needs of the visual communication industries, while facilitating their practical explorations into media, technique and process. As emerging illustrators, they develop strategies for effective ideas generation that enables them to become powerful visual communicators, whilst evolving their own authentic visual languages.

Throughout the course students are introduced to the range of contexts within which illustration operates. Each project is designed to allow a wide range of individual options and possibilities, affording lots of potential for personal creative development.

There is a focus on the course in ensuring that students are ready for industry after they graduate. Our professional practice programme of lectures and industry visits gives students the knowledge required to work as professional illustrators or in related careers.
