Hannah joined the MA Illustration team in 2018, having worked as a freelance illustrator in the industry for 10 years after graduating from Illustration BA at The University of Brighton. Her graphic and narrative-led image-making has been applied across a range of media from print to textiles, at both a personal and architectural scale. Hannah has found weaving to be a natural process to compliment her grid based image making and completed an MFA in Textiles at Konstfack in Sweden in 2014. Hannah Waldron’s current research-led practice predominantly focuses on the potential of storytelling in textiles, and alongside a broad range of commissions, Hannah regularly exhibits her work internationally. Hannah has won numerous awards for her work, including the HAY award in Denmark, the Irene Davies award in Australia, and most recently has become a Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust recipient. Previous clients and collaborators include: The V & A museum, Herman Miller, The New York Times, Paul Smith, Wallpaper*, IKEA, Pizza Express, Graphic Thought Facility, NIKE, Edinburgh Arts Festival and Penguin Random House, among others.
